The LA Metro Section is hosting the CCAE 2015 State Conference External link opens in new window or tab in Universal City, California on April 30-May 2, 2015.

OTAN is presenting, facilitating or supporting the following:

  • Tech Trends in Adult Education External link opens in new window or tab - See demonstrations of the different ways in which technology is being used by California adult educators and learn about free OTAN-provided resources.
  • Social Media and Student Data: Implications for District Policy and Student Privacy External link opens in new window or tab - With the increased use of social media in schools and concerns about the collection of, use and storage of student data, this session will examine the current practices, the potential pitfalls, and how schools can position themselves to protect student privacy.
  • Google Voice in Adult Ed External link opens in new window or tab - Google Voice is a great tool for adult education with the free phone number for the teacher to save time and get organized while communicating with the learners in ways they are most comfortable with. Combine this with other google tools and enable empowered learners and happy teachers.
  • Testing Procedures Using Moodle - Online testing reduces time for test taking, grading & student feedback. This presentation will give you all the information to get started creating your own online tests using OTAN's free Moodle system.
