Recently, Edutopia staff updated the collection of links covering topics related to Common Core State Standards. From the debate between supporters and opponents to new laws being enacted in individual states, to the polls by authorities in education, more detailed information is offered about CCSS intricacies and controversies.
One of the recommended resources is the Teaching Channel's collection of over 240 videos about CCSS implementation, from broad overviews to lessons ideas for specific standards.
More technology resources are offered to help with lesson planning and include: Share My Lesson (free platform for sharing lesson plans), Common Core Forum (for discussion), LearnZillion (a learning platform that combines video lessons, assessments and progress reporting), Khan Academy (video lessons developed by over 130 current experienced teachers for every grade level).
The three entities related to assessment are The Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC), The Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium, Educational Testing Service's Center for K-12 Assessment and Performance Management.
The research section offers a compendium of 85 research studies and a collection of journal articles.
