ABOUT OTAN TRAINING: Workshop Descriptions
|Workshop title||Moodle Courses for ESL|
This workshop will give you an overview of ready to use Moodle courses which have been developed by teachers in the adult education field to address the needs of the ESL learner. Discover how you can use these ready to go courses with your learners. Each of these courses (except CAHSEE Math & Developmental Math ) can be given to you as a .mbz file that you can upload to a server of your choice, if you do not plan to use OTAN’s Moodle server.Prerequisites: To have a hosted Moodle course on OTAN’s http://adultedcourses.org, you must be from a California WIA/WIOA funded agency and have taken the Moodle v2: Create a Course Web Site workshop (online/face-to-face).

|Format||Workshops: Synchronous online trainings, or series of trainings, in which facilitator and participants interact by voice or chat.|

Minimum System Requirements for Participating in Online Workshops:
- Broadband Internet connection (DSL, Cable modem or faster, no dial-up).
- Computer with speakers or headphones (some classes require microphones too).
- Active e-mail account through registration for the course as an OTAN member.
